  • Low Birth Weight: Poor blood circulation can limit the baby’s nutrition and growth.
  • Stillbirth: In extreme cases, uncontrolled hypertension can be fatal for both mother and baby.
  • Spotting high blood pressure early and making the right lifestyle changes can help prevent these complications. “Regular check-ups and simple lifestyle shifts can make all the difference,” says Dr Gupta.
