Real Life Weight Loss Story: Mom Of Two Loses 26 Kilos Postpartum - Proves A Flat Belly After C-Section Is Possible! (Image Credits: Dimple Clarke)

Real-Life Weight Loss Story: After giving birth to her second child, Dimple Clarke found herself at a crossroads. Weighing between 72-74kg, she barely recognized the woman in the mirror. The exhaustion of motherhood, with the emotional and physical toll of a C-section, left her feeling disconnected from her own body. But instead of giving in, she decided to fight back—one step at a time. Today, at 35 years old, she weighs around 46-47kg and is a Fittr Coach helping other moms reclaim their strength. But how did she do it? What strategies did she follow to lose weight? Let's check!

The Wake-Up Call

“Lifting my newborn felt like a struggle. I knew something had to change,” she said. Despite having a background in fitness and nutrition, postpartum recovery was an entirely new experience. She understood that new moms need more than just a fitness plan—they need emotional support and guidance. That’s when she turned to Coach Vinodh, who created a diet plan that complemented her needs as a breastfeeding mother without affecting her milk supply.

The Motivation Behind Her Transformation

For Dimple, weight loss wasn’t just about looking a certain way; it was about setting an example. “I always wanted to be a fitness coach for new mothers but to inspire them, I had to walk the talk myself,” she says. Her biggest motivation? Her kids. She knew that her lifestyle choices would shape their habits, and she wanted to set the best example possible.

Weight Loss Transformation: From 72kg to 46kg

Losing 26kg wasn’t an overnight success. It took her 1 to 1.5 years of dedication and consistency to reach her goal. The biggest challenge? Finding time to exercise while caring for a baby.
“My little one wanted to be with me all the time, so I got creative. I used an ergonomic baby carrier and incorporated her into my routine—walking, stretching, and even light workouts with her in tow. It wasn’t always easy, but I made it work.”
She also realized that the ‘all or nothing’ approach doesn’t work. Instead, she focused on giving her best each day—even if it was just 80 per cent. “Even on days when I couldn’t do everything perfectly, I showed up. That small effort made a huge difference in the long run.”

Diet And Workout Routine

Instead of following extreme diets, she stuck to simple and nutritious meals that fit her lifestyle.
- Breakfast: Bread omelette with a cup of tea
- Snacks: Fruits and whey protein
- Lunch And Dinner: Dal, rice, and chicken—quick, easy, and nourishing
Her workouts were just as structured. She exercised four days a week, focusing on core rehabilitation exercises to heal her postpartum body.

Overcoming Setbacks And Breaking Myths

One of the biggest misconceptions she encountered was that getting a flat belly after a C-section is impossible. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” she said. “I’ve had two C-sections, and I’m proof that you can regain your core strength and a flat belly with the right approach.”
Her journey was about focus and consistency rather than getting distracted by obstacles. “There will always be hurdles—lack of time, self-doubt, exhaustion. But if you stay committed to your goals, you’ll find a way through.”

Life After Transformation: Paying It ForwardAfter achieving her own weight loss success, Dimple found a new passion—helping other moms regain their strength. She now specializes in helping women heal Diastasis Recti, a common postpartum condition, using sustainable methods. “It’s about more than just losing weight. It’s about feeling strong, confident, and in control of your body again.”
Today, she’s proud to be working with FITTR, coaching other women to achieve their best physical and mental health.

Her Advice to Other Moms on a Weight Loss Journey

“If you’re a new mom struggling with weight loss, know this—you are capable. You don’t have to choose between being a good mom and taking care of yourself. Start small, stay consistent, and trust the process. Your transformation is waiting for you,” she said.
