“I was never overweight in school, but over time, binge eating took over,” he said.
Although he started working out at 18, he struggled to see any real transformation due to a lack of knowledge about proper nutrition. “That changed when I joined FITTR,” he says. With guidance from his coach, Kumar Munde, Prasanna started following a calorie-deficit diet, which proved to be a game-changer.

The Motivation Behind the Change
Gaining weight wasn’t just about the physical changes—it affected his mindset and confidence. “I lacked focus, felt lazy, and avoided mirrors. I didn’t feel good in any attire and even avoided taking pictures,” Prasanna recalls.
However, seeing the transformation journeys of others on FITTR inspired him. “I wanted to feel confident again, and I knew I had to do something about it.” His transformation not only improved his physique but also helped him regain his self-belief and focus, which positively impacted his professional life as well.
The Transformation Process
Prasanna started his weight loss journey when he was at his heaviest - 89kgs. However, now he weighs 59kg. Within a year, he transformed himself completely by following a strict regimen. In this regime, he was working out six days a week and walking at least 10,000 steps daily. “Seeing progress every week motivated me to push harder,” he says.
However, balancing work, family, and fitness was no easy feat. His IT job came with unpredictable hours, and managing a three-year-old daughter added to the challenge. But through sheer determination, he stuck to his routine.
Diet and Workout Routine
His approach was simple yet effective:
- Diet: A calorie-deficit meal plan tailored to his goals. His coach made a low-calorie high-protein diet with fibre-rich foods.
- Workout: Strength training six days a week.
- Steps: A minimum of 10,000 steps daily.
Overcoming Challenges
While many struggle with setbacks during weight loss, Prasanna says that once he joined FITTR, there was no looking back. “There were no setbacks because I had a structured plan and the right guidance,” he shares.
